Biological Controls
Tachinid flies (Trichopoda pennipes) parasitize adults. Egg parasitoids.
Prevention
Inspect leaf undersides weekly and crush egg clusters. Board traps — lay plywood near plants overnight, crush hiding bugs in morning. Row covers until flowering. Crop rotation.
Common Mistake
Waiting until adults are established — squash bugs are nearly impossible to control as adults. Target eggs and nymphs early.
